Good looking unit/presentation.
Reasonably true to original.
The remote operations are not quite what I
expected. The movements required are 'lateral'
with respect to the type 1 phaser. You need to
learn, to move your arm sideways, avoid
pivoting your wrist towards left/right/up/down.
It's all about side movements, device pointing
Also, rotation must be performed along the main
axis of the type 1 phaser. When hooked to the
type 2, you need to rotate w/r to the type 1
phaser sitting on top, not intuitive initially.
But with practice, you get the hang of it.
The forward screw-like adjustment is flimsy,
and sounds like it's eating through plastic
internally. Its design should definitely be
reviewed, this is not viable. I'd say, avoid
playing with this screw mechanism. I don't
dare touch it anymore, seems half broken now.
The main body is made of two shells, they don`t
quite fit together properly, there is a space
inbetween near the front. Light comes out of it,
when you pull the trigger. Again, for a device in
this price range, I'd expect construction to be

Besides the above minor gripes, I'd recommend it
to anyone fond of the series. This gadget is not
for everyone, you have to be one of the few, who
just know, you need to get one!
