Franklin Mint Knife Collection by Richard S
When I was a young boy of 12 years old I became interested in collectible knives. I purchased my first collectible knife when visiting relatives in New York City and have been fascinated ever since.
Well the knife was placed in a drawer as do most boyish things, until my father sparked my interest a number of years ago by giving me a Franklin Mint collectible knife as a Christmas present. It was a black Labrador Retriever collectible knife with a certificate of authenticity, black leather pouch and packaged in the traditional Franklin Mint styrofoam with gold sleeving.
From that day on I was hooked. I have a number of collectible knives (mostly Franklin Mint) that I have purchased over the years. My second purchase came from a magazine add showing a Franklin Mint collectible knife, as well a number of purchases from the Franklin Mint and e-Bay websites. My collection has grown to two corner oak shelves in our den and mounted on displays. Most of my collection is Franklin Mint pocket knives along with daggers and bowie knives. I continue to make purchases and will probably continue for years to come.
