Lights of Life - Peace Lamp

I purchased the "peace", "faith", and "charity" lamps. These lamps are realistic clay made lamps with the word "replica" stamped into the bottom of each. Keep in mind that real ancient lamps were much smaller than what we expect and see in movies. In that time people expected less light, and had less money to spend on lamp oil. There is a card inside that says these are just for decoration only. Box does not contain any wicks or oil. The image on the box shows the lamp lit however. I would guess that they are around 6 inches diameter (at the longest point) and 3 or 4 inches tall. The box (I didn't get the wooden display box) is very well padded. I'm happy with the look of the lamps. They are very small and interesting looking. I also plan to use them with oil despite the warnings. Just keep in mind that they will "sweat" the oil out because of the method of firing the pottery, this is normal. They will get goop where ever you sit them, and they should be set on an easily cleaned non flammable surface. I only wish that Franklin mint had given dimensions, caution information, and package contents in the description. Order status also said "Processing" until the day the lamps arrived so I had to call for the status. Other than that, the lamps are of very high quality, well packaged, decent shipping time, good phone customer support, very fair price and I'm happy with my purchase!
