Only the most demanding sports car enthusiasts — those with the true spirit of a competitor, an eye for luxury and taste for the exotic — choose Maserati. Famous for its unique style, super-speed and cutting-edge technology, you won’t want to miss this rare opportunity to experience the 1957 Maserati 250F, firsthand.
One of largest racing triumphs in history, Juan Fangio raced the lightweight Maserati 250 F1 to victory on the 4th of August, 1957 while more than 200,000 spectators looked on in awe at what became the Grand Prix of the Century. On that very day, as this was his 5th world championship title, Juan Fangio instantaneously assured his legacy in the race car world...along with the amazing Maserati 250 F1. True to scale, this one-of-kind collector's item made of stainless steel bolts was hand assembled from nearly 1,387 individual pieces and depicts every dynamic detail of the legendary car itself.
Special features include front and rear wheel suspension with springing, accurate cabeling and pipe installation, and a quick-open device for racing car nose and engine sideplates.
But that’s not all! This award-winning model (NAMAC Miniature Car of the Year 2005) boasts an astonishing interior to match — with its textile-covered seat, a precisely detailed dashboard, gear box and pedals. The gas tank fastens with a leather covered belt and the De-Dion rear axle with transverse mounted compound spring is made of stainless steel. The ribbed brake drums are authentic, as are the double-leaf central locking wheel nuts, embossed with the Borrani manufacturer logo. On the rear are 301 individually formed and hand-inserted rivets, even with washers.
