Each a Hollywood legend and each was photographed by Bruno Bernard (1912-1987), perhaps in his studio on the famous Sunset Strip. Bernard was considered “the king of Hollywood glamour” and Marilyn Monroe’s® discoverer. In 1984, Bernard was the first still photographer honored with an Oscar by the Academy of Motion Pictures.

Now, some of the most famous black-and-white photographs have been re-created on official legal tender coins. The coins were officially issued in 2011 by the Cook Islands, each with a face value denomination of 5 Dollars. Measuring 38.61mm in diameter, each coin was beautifully struck with a full Proof finish in .925 Sterling Silver and has a strict worldwide minting limit of just 2,500.
