Joe DiMaggio was born November 25th, 1914. Nicknamed the "Yankee Clipper," he is best known for hitting in 56 straight games in 1941 while playing for the New York Yankees. His career in the Major Leagues spanned the years 1936-1951.

Selected as the MVP three times, he ended his playing days with a .325 batting average and 361 home runs. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955.
