Reports from the Civil War - Daily Richmond Examiner, Virginia, 1862

Not only is this a newspaper from the Confederacy, but it is from the capital of the Confederate States at the time, the city through which all news reports would be sure to flow -- Richmond, Virginia.

This issue contains various war reports, typically with a very anti-North bias, as well as an interesting pro-South editorial on page two and reports from the Confederate Congress.

There are also many advertisements and a few military notices. Complete as a four-page newspaper, never bound or trimmed, just as it was sold on the streets during the Civil War.
